Boat Safari in River Zuari for Bird watching & Crocodiles
A 15 seater passenger boat takes you for the safari in the River Zuari going further in the mangrove-lined Cumbharjua Canal. The journey through the mangrove lined canal is full of bird sightings, some of them pretty rare. Two species: the Collared Kingfisher, Osprey & Marsh Crocodile are the highlight of the trip.
Boat Safari for bird watching:The safari starts from Cortalim jetty at 7.30 am. The duration of the trip may vary from two and half hours to three hours. This is a guided safari. In addition to the collared kingfisher, five other species of Kingfishers are seen here.
You also see Greater Crested Terns, Gull Billed Terns, Peregrine Falcon, Eurasian Curlews,White-bellied Sea Eagle, Black-capped Kingfisher, Terek Sandpiper, Lesser Adjutant and several other species of waders.
Boat Safari for Crocodile Watching: This trip starts form the Cortalim Jetty near Zuari bridge at 2.30 pm. The trip takes you through the creeks in the Cumbharjua canal searching for Marsh Crocodiles basking on the mud banks. The duration of the trip may vary from two and half hours to three hours.
